Vlietjonge Staalhandel is one of the largest steel suppliers in the Netherlands. With a wide and deep stock range, they supply structural steel to steel builders, construction companies, machine factories and trailer builders.
As floor operator of crane, you are responsible for the orders of a particular client. With the use of a list, you will collect all orders of metal pipes and place them on a truck or pallet (depending on the size of articles). You will move the elements from place to place by a crane operated from the floor. These cranes have a span of 24 to 29 meters and can hoist lift up to 10 tons of material. You will work in an open warehouse with cranes and pipes, where it could be cold in wintertime and hot in summertime.
You will work from Monday to Friday in shifts from 08:00 to 16:00 and 16:00 to 00:00, for which you will get allowances. You have the possibility to work overtime, which means a higher salary.
The first weeks you will be trained to use the crane until you will get enough experience. Afterwards, you will work independently. Get the opportunity to follow trainings to higher positions or to increase your salary. Join this team as floor operator of crane!
