As a Cloud Automation engineer, mostly in a Devops environment, you form the bridge between infrastructure and development. You guide and advise your customers in end-to-end using the DevOps process both in cloud native/hybrid and traditional architectures. For this you understand the needs of the customer and work together with mostly all existing IT-profiles like software engineers, architects, solution analysts, system engineers, … . You can think along on a technical and strategic level. In addition, you stay up-to-date with the latest technologies in terms of Cloud, the CNCF landscape and many more.

Where you’re going to get started

As you already know, our customers can no longer do without excellent working IT systems.

This places high demands on the people working on them. As a Cloud Automation Engineer at Ordina, you will work within the ‘Platforms’ area. As an area, we help our customers accelerate their digital transformation by designing, delivering and managing future-proof, agile and cost-efficient cloud platforms.

Specifically, we handle migrations from on-premise to cloud platforms. In doing so, we take security, flexibility and scalability into account. We also advise our clients on actual usage and help with cost-effective deployment. We assist development teams to seamlessly connect their pipelines, including infrastructure as code, to these platforms. After design and build, we manage the platforms.

Over 70 professionals work within this area as Cloud-, Infrastructure-, Automation- or Platform Engineer working together to develop (new) propositions. You will be working in a dynamic team where sharing knowledge and insights is self-evident.

This is you

Must haves

You have a bachelor’s degree in IT or equivalent through experience.

You speak Dutch at B2 Level.

You have at least 2 years of experience as an Automation or DevOps Engineer.

You are familiar with one of these cloud platforms: Azure / AWS

You have experience with CI/CD pipelines and know conceptually how they work.

You have knowledge in at least one of these scripting tools: Bash, Powershell, …

You have experience with container concepts: Docker, Kubernetes/Openshift, …

You have general network knowledge.

You are a strong communicator and know how to understand customer needs and align different teams.

Nice to haves

Knowledge in IAC tooling like: Terraform, Ansible, Chef, Puppet, …

Knowledge in monitoring & logging tooling like: Prometheus, Grafana, Kodi, ELK/EFK, Yeager, or similar

Knowledge in CI/CD tools like: Jenkins, Azure Devops, AWS Codepipeline, ArgoCD, …

You love sharing knowledge. You are not afraid to pitch new ideas.
