What you do on a typical day as Teamleader
- Manage team performance; develop associates by providing training and coaching.
- Manage coordinators and help them grow within their role.
- Instruct, inform, and support the employees of the department, so that the work is carried out safely, efficiently, and correctly, in accordance with the applicable standards (including KPI’s and productivities)
- Lead start-up activities with cross functional teams.
- Make recommendations regarding new hires, terminating contracts, performance evaluations and promotions.
- Ensure that documents work instructions of processes are up to date and are being followed by the department.
- Continually strive to improve the processes of your department.
What do you need to be successful at GXO
- A college degree and preferably a completed logistics education
- Strong experience in managing big teams in a warehouse
- Fluent English (speaking Dutch is nice to have but not mandatory)
- Experience with monitoring absenteeism
- Ability to lead and motivate a large group
- You strive for open and honest communication, open to feedback and suggestions from colleagues
