The Business
You will be joining a well-established, leading global manufacturer of engineered products used across a range of industrial applications, known for delivering high-quality solutions into demanding environments.
The Opportunity
This is an opportunity to step into a Team Leader role within a structured, process-driven smaller warehouse environment.
You might currently be a senior warehouse operative, coordinator, or logistics specialist who is already taking ownership on shift and looking for the next step.
Equally, you may already be operating at Team Leader level in a similar environment and looking for a more hands-on role with greater ownership.
Due to the size of the operation, this role is highly hands-on, with real visibility across all warehouse and logistics activity.
The Role
You will support the day-to-day running of the warehouse and logistics function, ensuring goods are received, stored, and dispatched accurately and efficiently.
Alongside this, you will take on responsibility for coordinating activity, resolving issues, and improving how things are done.
Key areas include:
- Supporting and coordinating daily warehouse operations (goods in, picking, packing, dispatch)
- Investigating and resolving shipment issues and failures
- Managing logistics for inbound and outbound shipments (including UK–NL shipments)
- Supporting shipping documentation, including customs and dangerous goods (where applicable)
- Maintaining stock accuracy through cycle counting and ERP processes
- Acting as a go-to person on shift and supporting other team members
- Identifying and supporting improvements in efficiency, cost, and quality
This is a hands-on role within a small team, not a purely supervisory position.
What They Are Looking For
- Experience in a warehouse or logistics environment (typically 3+ years)
- Strong understanding of goods in, dispatch, and stock control
- Comfortable using ERP systems and warehouse technology
- Either: A senior-level operative ready to step up, or an existing Team Leader who still enjoys a hands-on role.
- Good problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and prioritise tasks
Desirable:
- Forklift (FLT) licence
- Exposure to shipping documentation, customs, or dangerous goods
